George Calvert – Pastoral Ministry

I have been the Pastor of Hospital Ministry in the Corona and Riverside area for years. God laid this new endeavor on my heart and with a few volunteers we began visiting on July 13, 2025 the Woodcrest Acute and Rehabilitation Facility in Riverside, CA. We believe that the elderly are one of the most forgotten and lonely people.

With a small group of rotating volunteers, we visit, talk with them, pray with them and share Gods’ love with them through this ministry. We also bring activity items such as large print coloring books and crayons, large print word search books and crossword puzzle books. We also supply bibles in English and Spanish upon request.

We had a great gathering for our first Christmas ministry visit on December 21, 2025. Additional members of our church came along as well and we sang Christmas songs lead by our Pastor, Mike Yeamans. It was such a blessing to see the smiles on all the patients’ faces. We took a few pictures at Christmas, and I have added some new ones to our gallery of myself and our wonderful volunteers.

Our prayer is to expand our group and add another Facility to our visits.
